Cabled Fingerless Gloves

These fingerless gloves are knit with 100% Highland Peruvian Wool - beautiful deep aqua with purple flecks! And yes it is the rest of this yarn. I cabled these mitts to remind me of my grandma's retro driving gloves, they had the same type of V pattern on the back. She used to drive a HUGE Impala, it was gray with red interior. I bet about six people could have fit in the trunk!

It was fun to design these gloves. It reminded that me that since that spring I have been doing a lot more patterns rather than designing things for the shop, so my goal is to get back to that. I'll let you know how that goes, but in the meantime, what do you think of the gloves?

  2. Nice gloves but I've never understood why someone wears fingerless gloves??? Your knitting is beautiful.

  3. I hadn't understood it either until I made myself some - and I LOVE them because I can still change the radio or use my cell phone without taking them off, plus I'm generally cold so they don't come off often. Thanks though, I'm glad you think my knitting is pretty :)
